Jean Carlu’s design frames the relaxing cultural and sporting delights of the Mediterranean within a warm glow of bright yellow and orange – it looks superb. Add the text referring to Pan Am’s iconic Clipper service to Nice and it has everything. Hard to find, this is a rare survivor. The poster has been cleaned and linen backed & looks very good. Some in-fill and restoration has been carried out along the lower edge. The work is noticeable but the colour matching is very accomplished. The body of the poster seems complete.
