Hunters lodge has an impressive masonry chimney running up the side of the lodge and cut into the roof , and adorns a slate capped top,and lead flashing to the base of the chimney . As well as the gorgeous hand picked shiny coated cobbles , a reclaimed waxed slate tiled roof, a solid oak apex with rustic exposed uniformed pins and hand cut reclaimed lead adorns the ridge of the roof , with its quirky finial at the end ,overhanging the gable .Hunters Lodge boasts a solid oak dummy entrance door with a black Japanned screw as a door knob, and a quirky overhanging frame cut from solid oak adds the rustic finishing touch . The door mat is cleverly made with 12 bore spent cartridges with resin applied to the shots to protect them from the elements . Hunters lodge has a four paned wooden window to the side of the lodge with cute little shutters either side . Resin has been carefully applied to the window to imitate glass as well as protect it . A stags head above the door just completes the finish and adds to the lodges country appeal, as well as a sliced log , hand inscribed with “Hunters Lodge ‘ with a pyrography burning tool . We completed the finishing touches to hunters lodge with a whiskey barrel set to the side of the lodge . A pair of wellies sit by the door mat , and a shot gun leans against the door . Two hand made pot plants made from a hull 12 bore spent shot ,and two recycled wine bottle tops filled with artificial greenery , and the primer of the shots are set in with resin to create tiny flowers . We have even made some antlers with resin and scattered them around .
